Question, Yorkshire Pudding

I am making Yorkshire Pudding for the first time today. Would bacon grease be an option instead of vegetable oil? We will be serving them with a chuck roast stew cooked in a crock pot. Thanks for any opinion you may have.

Bacon grease will definitely work. Traditionally, Yorkshire pudding is made with beef fat, so pork fat is an even closer approximation. Plus, I don't think anyone will complain about the bacon flavor :-)

Just what I was hoping to hear. Thanks much yy, I'll let you know how they turn out.

The Yorkshire Pudding turnout out prefect! The bacon grease provided a subtle but enjoyable flavoring and certainly didn't retract from the rise, over 4", or the texture. Very pleased with the outcome to say the least. Thanks again for you help.
