Does anyone think that this site should have someway of thanking or showing respect to helpful or smart posts? I don't know. Some kind of merit system? What do you think?

I wouldn't want a "like" system similar to Facebook, as too many people just post garbage to attract "likes".
A simple post of thanks is a courteous way to show gratitude and is usually seen as genuine.
Nah its so impersonal.
Bread is a community, family and friends thing. You cant break bread over a like :p
