What year is my kitchenaid from?

After hearing all the good things about Hobart-era kitchenaids, I went on the hunt to thrift stores. Unfortunately was not able to find any, but I did find a Whirlpool era Kitchenaid that still had the Hobart-era "Solid State" logo and thought perhaps it might be just as good?

I've read that in the Whirlpool takeover of Kitchenaid, they took all of Hobart's remaining stock and rebranded them with their own logo. I'm wishing that perhaps mine might be one of those models, but I doubt it as the Max Watts on this one is 325, whereas it was 300 on the older models.

Luckily, at the bottom, I was able to find a sticker with the serial # and model #.

Model:   K5SSDWH
Serial #: W84305012

Based on posts in here I can definitely pinpoint that this was manufactured pre-1990s: http://www.thefreshloaf.com/node/36640/mixer-input

Perhaps based on information found here, https://www.technicianbrian.com/uncategorized/how-old-is-your-appliance-aka-appliance-date-codes/

It is from 1988? Not entire sure.

Found a similar model to mine, but is 300W and in cobalt blue

and found it funny that the manual that it apparently came with had Hobart models on the picture just with the newer Kitchenaid covers on top!

If anyone has any information, I would love to know.

Can't remember exactly, but pretty close to 1992-3.  Mine just busted and I found a guy who thinks he can fix it.  It's served me well.

If you call kitchen aid they might know the exact year based on the SN.  I've done that before with some older appliances.
