It's the bread baker's equivalent of being a kid in a candy store.  The trick, if there is one, is to pace yourself, tempting though it is to try everything at once.

Some pointers for you.  Depending on where your skill and comfort levels are, you might find it helpful to click on the Lessons link at the top of the page.  If making bread is new to you, those can give you a good grounding as you work your way through them and get to where you can produce good results consistently.  Whether you're a newbie or an old hand at baking, there is a lot of good information in relatively compact form available when you click on the Handbook link.  The Videos link will take you to some helpful videos (surprise!) that show you how to perform various techniques.  Some of those are much easier to understand by seeing the action, instead of reading about it.  However, reading is a powerful way to gain additional knowledge and understanding, so don't neglect the Books link.  Clicking on that will provide you with reviews of a number of baking books, which should help when you consider making a purchase.

Lastly, but perhaps most importantly, the Search tool at the upper right-hand corner of the page is your key to anything and everything that has been posted here at TFL.  If you are interested in a particular topic, type in the relevant word or words to search for in the white box, then click on the Search button.  If, say, you wanted to know more about croissants, simply type croissants in the box and then click on the button.

Welcome to TFL.
