Favorite Bread Making Hardware?

So what's your current favourite piece of breadmaking hardware? Homemade or bought, but kit that is a bit different, so no thermoms, scales, bread tins (unless very quirky), lames, bannetons, etc.

Here's two of mine (breaking the rule already):

Flour brush:

Actually a decorator's paper hanging brush with natural bristles, bought new at a car boot sale for 50p. Perfect for dusting off excess flour from dough when shaping and from loaves before they go in the oven.

Electric Bread Oven for Home/Commercial Use?

I'm looking for an electric oven capable of baking 4+ loaves. I'm always on the lookout for a Rofco going up for sale, and I've looked at some pizza ovens on Vevor (link here) but it's hard to tell if those would work for baking sourdough loaves.

 

Any recommendations on which electric bread oven to buy?

Pizza Oven Recommendations?

Hello all!

My impression on portable wood fired pizza ovens is that the Ooni is the gold standard. I don't think I would use one enough to justify the price so I've been considering some less expensive options. Big Horn and Vevor both make pizza ovens for less than $200. Does anybody have any thoughts on these ovens? Anything I should consider before buying a pizza oven?

Brod and Taylor proofer - bulk fermentation

Hello,

I have use glass or plastic containers for my dough and a small beaker (50 ml) for the sample for the bulk fermentation stage. I am wondering whether the differences in material/thickness of glass in these containers will have any effect on rate of fermentation on the dough and sample. Does the sample in a beaker, made of thin glass, ferment faster than the dough in a thicker glass mixing bowl? Both are sitting on the wire rack that emits heat. Thank you.

Osttiroler Getreidemühlen Type A200

I'm researching grain mills and was wondering if anyone had any experiences with the Osttiroler Getreidemühlen Type A200

Does it make a finer flour than the KoMo or Salzburger grain mills?

Is there much maintenance required for it to perform well?

Are there many on the secondary market?

What would one sell for?

Any advice is appreciated.
