My son the chef introduced me to that after a catastrophic cut. It’s a standby in every professional kitchen. Looks gross but seals/ heals . When the glob falls off it’s completely healed. Of course surgeries have used for years.
My USA Pan Pullman has rolled edges which seem unlikely to bite. I have seen pictures of other brands that use flat flanges to hold the lids, and those are probably more eager to sell bandaides.
all the way. The Azon brands are cheaper but you get what you pay for. I have a gas range with sharp edges in obscure places inside under the burners. They are like razor blades on the edges. I learned the hard way to wear gloves when cleaning up errant spills.
Mine is a USA 13” pan and I’ve had it a number of years. Wash and dry and butter it all by hand. Every edge is rolled/ smooth. Couldn’t cut myself if I tried. I’m sorry you’ve had difficulty. I’d definitely contact the company they have a Lifetime warranty
Here is a picture of one of the lid corners. I checked all 4 and I can rub my fingers very firmly over all four and not feel anything sharp. They are dull.
Thank you for the info! I'm not bothered by the sharp edge, just thought it was a funny coincidence.
I've checked my lid too, and the outside edge of the handle is much sharper than the outside edges of the corners (like the ones in your picture). Oh well. Glad to hear this isn't a universal issue with the brand, though.
The lid of my own USA Pan Pullman looks just like Trailrunner's picture. I think the corner could have been slightly more rounded than it is, but I would have to work hard to cut myself. My Chef Made Pullmans (they call them "Toast Boxes") are even less likely to cause a cut. Note that the Chef Made pans are made in China, in case that matters to someone. They still seem to be top-notch. (BTW, the lids of USA Pan Pullmans are said to have been made in China).
Bandaids are some of the hardest things to open, especially when you're bleeding and maybe using only one hand. I could never figure that out.

Get you some.🙏
Here in Australia, bandages in the commercial kitchens must be blue in colour. Ours at home are the standard flesh colour.
Funny story: all these Pullman bakes have inspired me to try working with mine again... and I also just cut my finger on the cover. Twice!
Maybe a few more and I'll learn to be careful with it.

I’d toss the cheapo pans and get USA . JMHO. 🙏
Mine is a USA Pan. It has not endeared me to the brand.

They will replace the lid.

The I read Vergus's experience with USA pans. I guess taking time and being mindful is the best solution.
Thanks everyone.
That is a one off case. They are a superlative product.
I literally feel your pain. Heal quickly and well.
Thanks! You as well.
