A software request - notes on favorites

Floyd, would it be possible for us to add a note to the topics in our favorites list?  Sometimes I want to save the recipe that's 30 entries into the topic, or notes on a particular process that is really an aside to the stated forum topic.  It would really help to be able to jot down why I'm setting something as a favorite.

Knowing nothing about the software you use, I've no idea how big a change this would be. I really appreciate this forum.  It not only has good information, and a nice community, it has good design.  I haven't found that combination elsewhere.  Whether or not you can make this change, thank you and keep up the great work!

Not possible right now

No, that isn't possible at the moment and wouldn't be with out a fairly significant software change. I agree that it would be very help though.

I expect sometime this spring or summer to be doing a fairly large software upgrade. I'll definitely keep this suggestion in mind then, because it is a good one.

Floyd, This one might be easier

In long threads, I sometimes search for the new messages with the find function in my browser.  This not only picks up the new messages, but also every use of new or knew in the thread.  Could you change the new indicator to *new or something else unique?

Thanks for *new

Well, I'd missed this thread earlier, but I certainly noticed the *new's.  Yes, that's quite an improvement, since that's a string we're not likely to find elsewhere in the posts.  Muchly appreciated, Floyd,  And thanks, KipperCat for the suggestion.

It just dawned on me that what you requested (notes on favorites) is basically what del.icio.us does. It is a good service, worth signing up for and totally free.

About the favourites,
