I never thought of that because I save those for my camera bag, but the disposable bags in the grocery store produce departments work equally well for bread. I save all the dry ones from shopping for this purpose. When I put bread into baskets for proofing, especially overnight in the fridge, I just put each basket into a bag and wind up the extra length and tuck it under each basket when I put them to bed. With the basket sitting on the wound up "pigtail" it doesn't try to unwind. No twist ties or rubber bands or anything else are needed. When the bread comes out I just get rid of them. Instead of a single use for groceries I get double uses out of them. The dry, clean ones anyway.
Yes I’ve been using and reusing shower caps for years now, they work well. After a long while the elastic loses its elasticity and then I replace them.
at Target. yellow, red, blue , green sized accordingly. hand Wash carefully after every use to prevent contamination. They last years. I like that they are sized and I use them instead of any wasteful wraps.
I now have some shower caps, but I used to cover with plastic wrap. I saved each sheet and used it over and over. I still have some and use them mostly to cover free-standing loaves.
Never seen it. I began using foil over the bowls. When I put it in a pan I use a flour sack cloth towel to cover it. It works fine but I will try to remember this next time i go to target.
I just checked online and they are insanely priced and bad reviews. There are other options if you put in bowl covers.
I wouldn’t use foil, so expensive and tears easily and not cleanable . Things dry out with just a cloth towel. Anyway I hope you can find something washable/ reusable. 🙏
:-) Just wiped the piece of foil I have been using for years on the bowl of my mixer. It only gets moist from the rise. But even so you can wash foil that gets food on it. Just be careful and use the flat bottom of the sink or dish pan you use. I use heavy duty foil.
