Red Fife flour in Seattle area

Toast

Any suggestions for a vendor of Red Fife flour in the Seattle area.

I've looked into online vendors, the shipping seems prohibitive.

I checked and shipping 10 lb to the Seattle area is $27.

I did find eatgrain.ca . They have free shipping on your 1st order, so I get to try it with no shipping cost. Their  $10 flat rate shipping on orders under $50 and free for over $50 is very reasonable. The flour prices are in the range for shipped specialty flour. Have to say I am spoiled by Central Milling organic AP flour $11 for 20 lb at Costco.

Check out Daybreak Mills in Alberta. That’s where I get my whole grains from. Yes the shipping adds up but I think you are paying more at eatgrain.

$17.63 vs 51.95 for 5 kg hard spring wheat (no shipping)?. Even with shipping, I am pretty sure it would be cheaper!

And yes, they do ship to the US.

Depending on how much and how often you wish to purchase, perhaps approach one of the fine artisan bakeries in the area. Or contact WSU's Bread Lab for supplier suggestions.
