BBC Radio 4 program on Yeast

Hello,
I just became aware of this program on the subject of Yeast, on BBC Radio 4:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/console/b012wcl6

The program starts at about 1:15 in.

I hope this is of interest to bakers (and brewers) here on TFL.

This is BBC Radio Four's flagship programme on food, and a "must" listen for me to keep abreast of food matters.

The programme features John Downes, Vincent Talleu and Andrew Whitley.

Need I say more?

Thanks for posting this link to the board breadsong

Best wishes

Andy

Brilliant!  It happens I'll be in my car, driving (what else, one might ask...:p) about that time today.  It'll be a wonderful companion on my journey.  (Must. Watch. the. Road, TOO....)

Thanks for the info, breadsong! :)

Thanks for the concern, Khalid.  I'm in the suburb, luckily, quite away from any of those, so There's no chance those absolute *******  &%*$&# XXXX would touch my peaceful life......No way!.......until this morning.....

There was a big fire caused by those ***** last night very near a motorway I needed to take this morning to reach my destination. Luckily I could see the huge plumes of black smoke in the distance  and all the cars completely on standstill on the motorway towards that direction just before I joined it, so I took another route through which I could completely avoid the motorway.....and got stuck in the traffic caused by other cars trying to avoid the motorway.  So, I changed a route again, decided I'd go  via the side roads of  narrow country lanes of which many people outside my area wouldn't know. The roads were clear, could drive so smoothly, very chuffed by my quick and clever decision....until a few minutes later I got stuck behind a funeral hearth...

......just like this...

........led by two white horses with plumes of white feathers, if you must know....

No room to take over because it's a narrow single country lane, as I said,  and other cars were coming from the other direction, one by one, just as I thought I'd take over....

So in the end, I cancelled my appointment, came home. Just arrived 20 minutes ago, tuned in to that radio....only realised they put a special  programme on to debate about those ******* riots.....

I really, really hate those ****......

ETA:  Didn't have enough time to check breadsong's link this morning...checked now....realized the programme is archived and can listen now. I'm a happier (old) girl, now! .... I still hate those ****, though....

I feel for you all in Britain with the wildings going on.  This brings back memories of my mom telling me "Don't park in the riots" when, during the Black Panther trials, I had singing lessons a couple blocks away from the hoopla.   Do keep safe.

I agree...I've worked with people like that in the past and it's refreshing...almost makes one want to get to work early (...ALMOST is the key-word!)
