Espresso rocks

I forgot to put the espresso powder in the freezer; it hardens into "rocks". I can't even crush them by pulsing them in a coffee grinder. Any suggestions on how to turn them into powder again?

so here are some other ideas:

  • Mortar and pestle
  • Hammer and anvil
  • Food processor
  • Grater
  • Rock tumbler

Even though the powder concept is that it can be added as a dry flavoring ingredient, you may be able to use it as either a liquid or a slurry in recipes that want coffee flavor and utilize liquid ingredients.  Assuming, of course, that the lumps can still be dissolved in water-based liquids.
