Love this video - keeping it simple

Dropping this here to remind us that baking bread doesnt have to be sophisticated.  This was one of the videos i watched to learn what it takes.  For me its a reminder that even with minimal effort you can bake something that most likely going to be more enjoyable than something you get at the market thats choc full of preservatives.  This youtuber's loaves are not picture-esque but the enthusiasm says it all and he also takes a moment to note that gluten development is a reaction between water and flour and not neccessarily a function of kneading - https://youtu.be/JTY4WJRSzY8

Sometimes when you copy / paste  a link you get an extra  few characters in the end:

%C2%A0

Just backspace over them.

I usually go into "Disable rich-text" mode to copy links, so as to avoid the extraneous characters, or to expose them and edit them out if they are there.

You can also see the extraneous characters if you right-click/copy, or long-press/copy on a mobile device,  then paste in the address bar.    By copy/pasting  a link to the address bar, instead of directly clicking the link, you can edit it in the address bar if needed.   And it gives you an opportunity to see where it is going to take you before you actually go there.

Kendal, yes it is a nice laid-back style formula. Reminds me a bit of Steve Gamelin.

I also suppose that his hydration method and shaping method took a lot of practice, and would take some practice for the viewer to duplicate.  He makes it look too easy.

Just BTW, I noticed the flour bag looked like Gold Medal Better for Bread flour.

this i think is a great starting point for someone trying for the first time yeah.  hes shaping ia actually pretty bad but i dont think thats really the point.  this makes you think about the energy it takes to go to the supermarket compared to 10 minutes at home .
