easy starter sourdough rye recipe

HI All,

After not baking for a year or so, I am getting back into the swing of things. I have not had success in trying to get a good basic sourdough rye recipe going. Do you have a favorite fairly simple rye recipe? I would like it sourdough, it does not have to be 100% rye, any combination of rye, white, or WW (and possibly other flours, like einkorn or something),  and I don't like caraway seeds, but other than that I welcome all suggestions. TIA.

Whoops, I did this one a few weeks back, and it turned out well.  It's 40% rye, along with AP and WW flours.

If you give it a try, post back and let us know how it goes!

Thank you. I will try it. For some reason I did not get a notification that I had received a reply.

I really like these two, but they might be lower in rye than you want (the first is 10% and the second is 15%). The flavor profile is basically San Francisco sourdough.

Also, you might search for mini oven or dabrownman for rye formulas. I am sure there are others, but I know these two people use sourdough and rye a lot.

Thank you. I will look again. I have seen Mini and Dabrownman, but many of their recipes seemed a bit more complex than what I wanted to do after a 10 hour day at work, but I will search again. It has been several years, my memory quite probably is fuzzy.
