Brandy Buns

Leftover brandy from all those festive season plum puddings and cake.  So I decided to make Sweetened Brandy Buns for brekky in the new year. Not nearly as sweet as I expected. It is quite good with something more savoury, butter and a gentle cheese like a gouda. From The Handmade Loaf by Dan Lepard.

Can't go wrong. Does the brandy impart anything in the final bake? Can you taste it?

Looks like a nice brekky indeed!

I could not really detect the taste of the brandy at all. It may have to do with the quality of the brandy used too. Mine was not particularly expensive at all since it wasn't for drinking.
