Dissolving sugar into water

Having been making sweet breads of late, is there any reason not to dissolve sugar into the water destined for the dough?  Many recipes recommend adding sugar a little at a time, but a sugar solution seems simpler.

I don't think there is any problem in adding sugar in water. In fact, this makes it more simpler then adding sugar little at a time.

Hi Nancy,

Thanks for replying; I started some panettone last night, and dissolved the sugar into the water, seemed much easier that way, and the dough was fine.
