Been baking for as long as I can remember

Hi - My name is Jill, and my mother taught me to bake bread (and a variety of desserts) when I was still very little.

Now, I'm nearly 50, and am interested in baking bread again,  I've never liked the idea of using a bread machine or KitchenAid mixer to do the kneading.  I like the feel of the dough, and generally can tell but touch whether I'm done, or need to knead (pun intended) a bit longer.

I want to bake whole grain bread, and my son is interested in learning as well.

The world is your sack of flour, have at it.

Even If you have been out of it for a while, the basic priciples of bread baking remain the same, however now in the information age, you will be confrounted with a dizzying array of approachs and opinions. I'll add only that a digital scale and a basic understanding of formula building with bakers math will set you onto a very good path.

happy and satisfying baking to you

cheers daniel
