Submitted by AnnieT on August 8, 2007 - 9:36pm circular cooling rackKipperCat, a friend of mine asked me whether I could remember seeing a round cooling rack on TFL - she saw it and couldn't remember where. I went back through some blog entries and noticed that you have one. Could you tell me where you got it, please? I am assuming that is the one she meant and she really really wants one. I led her astray into the breadmaking world and she says she may never forgive me - but she is making sourdough bread with my starter. I would love to put her on the right track for the rack, many thanks, A

Annie, I just don't
Annie, I just don't remember. I think it came with something else, but it was at least 10 years ago. If it's any consolation, there is someone else on TFL with one - I guess I noticed it because it's so much like mine. But I don't remember whose it is, either! Sorry I can't be more help.
I did a quick look. cooksworld.com and fantes.com both have one
round rack
Look in the canning supply aisle of your favorite kitchenware store. They make a round rack to keep glass jars elevated from the bottom of the boiling pot.

racks
Thank you KipperCat and mkelly for the suggestions on finding a circular rack - I passed them on to my friend. She was in San Francisco last weekend and looked in the kitchen stores but couldn't find one. Now she will know where to look, A
I just found these round racks online

$12.95 for a set of two
I imagine Amazon would have some as well.
circular cooling racks
Many thanks, KipperCat, I forwarded the information to my friend - the one who is blaming me for her new baking addiction! A
LOL! What are friends for?

More Round Cooling Rack Sources
Found two more places to get them.
One is eBay (just make sure you search for round cooling rack, not circular cooling rack).
The other is Ace Hardware. They have a 9.75 inch one. If you order online, they will deliver it to your local store for free.
This is a horrible picture on the Ace site, but I think it is the same one I saw on an Ebay auction that has horizontal bars instead of circular rings. The eBay seller was Acecloseouts, which makes me think it is the same rack.

Here's the auction on Ebay, but it will only remain active for a certain period of time:

I also saw a 13" one on ebay and some others.
