Tech support, please?


Do pictures automatically post twice, once as IMAGE and once with the text body, or is it just me wreaking my own personal, quiet little brand of havoc? It freaks me out every time.

I understand your consternation. They go into the little Image Assist window first, for storage, I assume. Then you pick the one you want and click it, after which you Insert that photo. Looks like you did it just fine!

yes BUT

when I go to recent posts there they are with their own heading as image, seperate from where I actually meant to put them. Is this just the process and I should get over it? And thanks, Susan, for your kind words. I don't know where you live, but the glow coming from the Northeast quadrant isn't nuclear...(har har)

You are correct: they do show up double in recent posts.

Yes, I believe Image Assist creates a node (post) just to keep track of the image. Then you embed the image in whatever post or comment you are making. So, yes, two posts are made for each image. If you watch the RSS feed you see both of them, but I don't display the first one on the front page or anywhere that is easy for people to find. But if you look hard enough you can.

When I post images I just use Photobucket as well.  This, I think is the simplest way to post your images and it saves space here for content instead of storing everyones images.
