Today is my wife's birthday. Who wouldn't want a chocolate crusted orange flavored cheese cake with an orange flavored; chocolate ganache, truffles and chocolate shavings for toppings? Home made aranchello makes this a special birthday cake.

It tasted pretty good too, but what huge truffle doesrn't? You might want to get a nice dinner and bottle of wine to go with that cake you hubby will be pleased to make...... to keep you slaving in that hot kitchen churing out that fine bread :-).
For dabrownman- Look up Dear Abby's cheesecake on the web if you would like to surprise your wife with an excellent cheesecake. If her birthday happens to be in the spring when strawberries are in season, make a fresh strawberry topping. I think she will be very happy!
Abby's recipe muct be good! It has twice the eggs, cream cheese, sour cream and sugar as mine. It ihas to be twice as tall !!! Love fruit toppings on cheese cakes too. Thanks

Looks and sounds delish but what is aranchell? Couldn't find it on google, even!

Aranchello is like limonchello, an Italian liquor, only made from the outer most skin of an orange instead of lemon.
