Aunt Lillian's Apple Cake

Hello everyone - I've been coming to TFL site for a long time and loving it, but this is my first post.  I'm a serious home baker for many years.  I made my first recipe from ITJB last night, Aunt Lillian's Apple Cake, and it came out aboslutely perfect!  I made it in the 9 x 13 pan and measured the ingredients by weight.  That made the process more fun then ever, besides I had a new scale burning a hole in my pocket!  Anyway, I always enjoy the posts and learn from everyone's experiences.  This is a terrific site.

I made the cake too and had the same experience.  It's a wonderful cake.  Mine was in the tube pan, but I think I would prefer it in the 13 x 9 pan.  When cutting the tube pan cake, the apples were difficult to cut thru without tearing the tender yellow cake.  However, I would definitely make this cake again - the recipe is a keeper!

It's a recipe in the new book, Inside The Jewish Bakery, that's all the rage these days, so isn't likely to be posted. That is unless the author and member here, Elagins, gives the ok to do so.
