Noob from Hickory, North Carolina

Greetings from Hickory, North Carolina...

I have never been what most would call a bread baker, but I love my bread machine and I'm ready to expand my bread making skills to scratch and hand-made breads.  I have a few other hobbies that inspired me to expand my bread making skills... I have been an avid home brewer of beer for the last 15 years or so and I also really enjoy grilling and smoking meats.  I have recently discovered the joy of grilled pizza and I figured I could achieve good bread by similar methods on my grill or smoker.

I hope to learn a little and contribute some as well as I browse these forums :)

There have been a number of posts here about grilled pizzas.  The Search tool in the upper left hand corner of the page can be your friend when searching for that, or other, topics.  Other great places to start include the Lessons link and Handbook link at the top of the page.  If you want to see some of the techniques mentioned in various posts, the Videos link at the top will also be helpful.

Enjoy your time at TFL.  I look forward to hearing more from you.

With your experience in grilling, brewing and bread machine loaves you're more than ready to get your paws doughy (ie ?). Big high five.
