Well, it seems time to get off the sidelines so here goes:

I live in St. Paul, MN having moved here about a year ago from Sacramento. I telecommute so I have time to bake during the day, depending on the work load.

For a mid-life crisis, instead of the usual things, I took culinary classes at American River College which is a community college in Sac. Since all my skills are mental instead of physical, it was a great challenge and possibly the most satisfying of all my educational achievements. I also now have a great respect for the profession but know that I don't want to do it for a living!

So my baking is all over: Bread, cakes, tarts, cookies, muffins, scones and so on.

I am enjoying reading this site and have made two or three items that have been posted (which I have enjoyed by the way).
