When I started in on this bread "thing" about six months ago, all I was really wanting to do was get a better loaf than what was coming out of my bread machine. It didn't take more than a couple loaves to catch the bug. The two most significant moments in my evolution as a bread baking fanatic was checking out the Bread Baker's Apprentice and discovering TheFreshLoaf.com. This is such an incredible resource. I am also new to bread baking, starting with the machine and evolving to making it by hand.  I stumbled onto TFL purely by accident and have been very happy with the results I have gotten using the Lessons and advise from other posters.  I have just ordered The Bread Bakers Apprentice and hope to have it by the end of the week.  Thank you all for helping me develop a new hobby that makes me happy and everyone who gets to sample my creations, both good and bad.  Hope you all have a Merry Christmas.  And yes... it is Christmas Eve and I have a loaf almost ready to go into the oven!  Merry, Merry!!!
