The kiddos are experts. They know the drill. 5 and 7 and their grands will be replicating some day.

I have the same oven gloves. 🤗
They are worse than worthless… at least in my experience and my Chef son says the same. As far as I can tell there aren’t any worth their price. A thick folded dish towel works as well.
What’s your experience?
Already planning Thursday night for next week with 5 extra adult tummies!!! Crust making starts tomorrow with a week long levain build in the fridge…. Essentially a pff.
I’m exhausted will post a follow up tomorrow. 😞
Overall, I like them and find them superior to mitts (I find potholders and folded towels too haphazard). Brian Shaw warned on my thread about oven gloves not to get them wet. I'm sure you've experienced that unpleasant surprise. As long as they're dry, I don't have any problems.
Good luck Thursday--it'll be amazing.
Than a towel. I was being crazy! Wet is definitely a big Nono!
These still aren’t safe at 450° . Also they get random holes. I’ll get a new pair. I actually need some that come up my arms as I am famous, and scarred to prove my clumsiness!
Thursday will be fun. First get through this weekend! They woke at 6:30! 😳
Welding gloves. They come up your arms.
