Alternative slashing method
Don't you just get a little bored with those clean cut slashes that folks do to their loaves?
Well, here's an alternative. This will work using a lame, a razor blade or a very sharp knife. Simple run the blade very quickly across the dough, preferably at an angle. In my experience you will end up with a slash that looks similar to a feather where the blade has caught the dough & dragged it out along the edges of the cut. I'm so used to feather-slicing my dough now that I can no longer produce the clean-cut edges that you see everywhere. Try it.
