discard levain for pie crust

Has anyone tried making a pie crust with levain?  I have a nice slightly sour levain for my bread and wondering if I could use some of the discard levain to make a pie crust.  I started out with the levain from "Flour Water Salt and Yeast" which is now a delicious slightly sour start I keep in my fridge and bake every 2 weeks.
