Surprise favourite loaf
I bought some flour thinking it was a white bread flour but it turned out it is a mixed grain and makes the most gorgeous malted barley bread. It was from Booth's and is Wessex Mill: Wessex Cobber Bread Flour made from British wheat.
500g flour
8g yeast
10g salt
10g oil
20g malt extract (Holland & Barret)
300g warm water
All bread fresh from the oven smells nice but this one is amazing. Hubs actually waited up to have a slice when it was still warm. It's a sticky dough and best kneaded in a machine but still doable by hand.
The inside pic is my first attempt, haven't taken one since, and since then I have given it more time at the end out of the tin.
