How to bake pizza as good / Suggestions for a pizza place

So let me give you a background on myself.

I lived in Vancouver all myself and recently moved to Quebec. I've always been a fan of bread and absolutely love baking ( or at-least watch others bake as I can't do so good myself, haha). So the thing is this, we as a family used to have Pizza for dinner at-least twice in a month or so ever since I could remember. Even after my parents passed on, I made it a point to carry on the tradition with my spouse and kids. My mom used to make the pizza from scratch and it was absolutely delicious. But obviously due to various constraints, the major one being time, my spouse and I couldn't get to making the Pizza all by ourselves. But after quite some hunting we had managed to find this place called Freshslice Pizza ( http://freshslice.com/feast-pizza-menu/ ) near my place at Vancouver that came close to what my mom made, Especially their BBQ Chicken Feast.

The issue is now that we've moved to Quebec, I don't think there's any outlet of theirs over here and none of the other Pizza joints here appeal as much to our taste buds.

Can anybody give any step-by-step recipe suggestions for something that we could try and cook over the coming weekend?

Or even suggesting a place that you might feel makes a good BBQ Pizza would suffice.

I've posted the link to their menu page above so that you can take a good look at their ingredients so you might get an idea of what I'm talking about.

Thanks in advance. :)

This site will have all the info you need.  I can't tell from the pictures what style pie, though I would rule out NY, Chicago, or Neapolitan.   It is probably either American or Thick Style.  http://www.pizzamaking.com/forum/index.php

He he... That is funny. There are all kinds of wood fired, artisan pizza places in Vancouver and it is Fresh Slice you end up hankering for. ;^)

I can't say I can blame you though. I like their pizza too.

The pizza dough recipe and technique I've posted here is really simple and quite good, but it does make a thinner crusted pizza, more NY style, than Fresh Slice.  An American style dough with some milk and a tad more sugar would be closer to Fresh Slice's dough.

For toppings, when I make BBQ chicken pizza at home I use chopped chicken (pre-cooked), BBQ sauce, red onion slices, a mix of mozzarella and chedder cheeses, and some fresh cilantro. It isn't identical to Fresh Slice's take but it scratches the same itch.

Good luck!

Hahaha, Ikr!
They're located conveniently close to me and my taste buds have been accustomed to their dough, I guess :)

Thanks for the recipes, guys :)
Weekend lies ahead. Time to put my (non existent) pizza making skills to good use!
