Getting better at scoring
Having read the excellent tutorial on this site about scoring different kinds of loaves, I think I'm finally getting it. Both the Ale & Yeast Poolish bread and the Pain au Levain turned out lovely today. So pleased!

Do U Brush Ur Dough With An Egg Wash? Looks Like It from the Pics
I rarely brush any of my loaves with anything, except maybe water to make seeds stick. These ones had a little bit of flour dusted on them to make them easier to score, but nothing else.
Very pretty loaves.
Now you can move on to slashing, take it up a notch and possibly make a b grade movie at the same time:-)
Hmmm, "The Lazy Slasher"? Doesn't quite have the same ring... :)
