I ran across this book today
that I thought would be helpful for sourdough bakers, especially new ones

Really a good read.
the best part is that it is free.,
appear to be free as far as I can tell. I think you need to purchase the ebook for full access.
Perhaps because it was used as a reference for another scientific paper on SD starters in several of the chapters.
The best part is that it doesn't have any recipes in it. It is by far the best book on the subject "after" you've attained the ability to turn out a fairly decent loaf of sourdough. I liken it to a post graduate degree in the intricacies of sourdough bread.
Buy this book if you are serious about the art of sourdough bread - the rest are just cook-books...,

That's Chad Robertson on the cover. He spent a lot of time with Alan Scott during his journey of exploration.
and it's a great book. It is very sad that Alan Scott is gone, but wonderful that he left us some of his vast knowledge in "The Bread Builders."
