Hello everyone，I’m new here，can anyone recommend some good baking book for me?Thx
I am a Chinese ,and I just arrived in America last month to accompany my husband who studys further in NY.Before I went abroad,I have been interested in bakery and tried to do some cakes and breads. In Shanghai ,I was busy finishing my study so that there weren't much time for me to realize my hobby.Meanwhile,some ingredients are unavailable in shanghai. I'm glad that I have a better condition for bakery now.
In my country, a number of people like bakery as well.They recommended the book <The Bread Baker's Apprentice>.The recipes from Pierre herme are popular,too.So,i wonder what is the most popular baking book for amateur.I am a new hand ,and I have desire to improve my baking skill. Could anyone give me some advice?Thx a lot!

Also the fresh loaf has on its heading a place called "Books" - there you can find many to peruse.
So kind of u ! I have found the book reviews in "Books".It's very useful!
I can see by these breads and croissants that your skills as a baker are very good.

Thank you for your suggestion ：） I am surprised to find out txfarmer is a member here.She is famous on internet in China.I have read her Chinese blog again and again for several years.The formula of croissant is from her blog as well.No doubt she is my idol.But i didn't know that she published a baking book.If it's real,i will buy one without hesitation! : )
I mentioned her because your croissant reminded me of her work. Small world indeed. You are lucky to be able to buy her book and read it. She only published it in China only so those of us in the US are at a loss :( She doesn't post here anymore but, as you can see by her index, she has left us enough formulas to keep us very busy for a life time.
