Australian Bakers Handbook
Hi,
Some weeks ago now I was surfing the net and came across a link on a bakery suppliers website for a E-Book which was a electronic reprint of the last annual (or bi-annual) book that used to go out to Australian bakeries c1970's?. I imagine this had a lot of industry news, recipes, and advertising from the period. Trouble is I got sidetracked and lost the page I was on, and now can't find it again which is driving me nuts. Anyone have a clue as to what this was and even better a link back to it.
Thanks guys
Ian
I don't know about the handbook you are referring to, however have you tried contacting the Baking Assn of Australia (BAA)? Their website is www.baa.asn.au. They may have it or be able to guide you in the right direction.
Thanks- will give them a try.

i found this link. My in laws live in Australia and I admire their bakeries, so I was intrigued. The link doesn't go anywhere, but it does clarify the title. Curious to find out if you ever track it down.

Found it!-here is the link

The link explains more. Having downloaded it, I thought it very good value. Definitely not a coffee table book but a full on text book on Australian Baking science, has a lot of bread recipes, and is chock full of technical information- for $6.95au I found it very good value and it certainly answered a lot of questions for me.
