French style bread with holes ?

Whenever we go to France I always love those large rustic loves that have plenty of holes to hold olive oil - I love Bread with olive oil. Can anyone suggest a good recipe for a loaf with lots of holes using maybe 50/50 white and wholemeal flour ?
