Chestnut Sourdough...
Hello, everyone
Long time no see! I just made a very nice sourdough bread, recipe originally from Farine's blog, and would like to share it with you here. I messed up the recipe a little (what else is new?) but in the end it worked quite well...
If you have access to chestnut flour, this is a must make bread

SallyBR: Can you post some photos of the crumb? It just looks gorgeous....I bet it was really tasty as well. Congratulations. Best, Phyllis
I don't have a very nice photo of the crumb, just a composite I made and posted on the blog. I messed up the recipe quite a bit, so the crumb turned out tighter than it should have been. On my blog post you can see a link to Farine's original post, and her crumb turned out more open.
not sure why but it is not letting me add a photo to this comment - maybe you could jump to the blog to see it? It is at the end of the pos

Quite a steal compared to the normal $20 a pound price. The high price makes this a real special occasion bread. Yours looks fine to me compared to my latest Frisbees:-) The outside is incredible
Lucy and I are making a variation, with onion cilantro naan, of your 3 year old red curry dish tonight that I found on your website looking for this bread We love curry and Lucy and Tom Yum will have a field day with this one!
Happy Baking and Currying
This one sounds very tasty and I really love the crust. Congrats!
