My thanksgiving sourdough loaves
Hey guys sorry it's been forever
Been busy with work and what not
I got the chance to fly home for thanksgiving so I quickly revived my starter and baked up a couple loaves!
Here is how they came out
Very nice, Ratatouille. Fantastic crumb.
thanks floyd!!!!!!
That looks great. You really revived your starter! -Varda
thanks guys
i want to branch out and try some new bread styles next, but I don't really know waht to try.
I'm thinking about trying croissants.. Do you bake those in a sealed apparatus also, like a dutch oven? or smaller individual ones?
I think just on a sheet pan, typically.
I just shared a few good links about making croissants that I'll share again here.
Croissants - In Buttery Heaven!
Croissants with Sourdough Starter
Poolish Croissants
Haha, I literally have two of those open - the Tx vs Tx and the sourdough starter articles, and then i had to open the poolish croissants thread for the procedure as well. I just , well, I feel like something would benefit those first few minutes in the oven, like steaming.. I will have to experiemnt. If I can't get a good croissant similar to how my baguette never turns out nice because of ths team... i'll have to just buy a steam oven then.
