Bouchon Bakery - Oatmel Raisin Cookies
Completed another segment of my challenge today. The cookies came out good. Little crispy and a little chewy. Im not a big fan of this type of cookie but I really like this one. I would make it again for sure. I followed the direction that said the recipe makes 6 four inch cookies. So, I made six cookies about four inchs wide and placed on the half-sheet pan. They spread to take up the whole pan. I think next time I will use two half-sheet pans for six huge cookies or make smaller cookies. Next are the TLC's.
Oatmeal is healthy, so you can eat as many as you like? Right?
Nice baking.

You'll have to join in when you get the kindle edition. Its an awsome book though you might want to get it. Great on the coffee table or the kitchen counter.
Ian, you are absolutely right. Many, many. You can have many. It's oatmeal! Have more than many. I need the recipe for these. So I can eat many.

Re-read the recipe and it said to put only 3 per pan due to the size. Must have got so excited to bake them I forgot. As the book said read the recipe twice, COMPLETELY. They also gave reccomendations for smaller ones. I'll stick with the big ones. Nothing better than a big cookie, big glass of milk and a big smile. And my big rear by the time this is all over!
Truth be told, I wasnt very happy with my first attempt at this cookie. I have learned alot since then. So, I thought I would give it another try. This time the results were much better. Proves the recipe was fine and the baker was not. I didnt have any raisins so I looked around and found something the same size and color, chocolate chips. The cookies were great.
