Thurston County, WA Bulk baking goods / Olympia - Seattle baking supplies
Anybody know of a place i can get bulk wheatberries and/or hard white wheat and/or good bread flour in the Thurston County, WA/ Olympia area? Looking to get bulk baking ingredients locally in the Thurston County, WA area
Appleseed, if there is a Cash and Carry store in your area you might look for Morbread flour - I bought 50lbs from a Lynnwood area store for $18.99! I really like the flour and lately I've been mixing it with Wheat Montana all purpose with good results, A.
There is a Cash and Carry in my area, I'll check it out. Thanks for the tip!

1) go to a local health food store, they can order bulk wheat berries in 25 lb or 50 lb bags
2) whole foods carrys bult, but a little bit pricy
3) organic minnesota grown wheat (high protein) and more from Rhonda at :http://www.organicwheatproducts.com/?page_id=620
Whats good is its only 50 cents a pound (if 50 lbs and 70 cents if less) - but she uses the post office "if it fits it ships". I've used her for years and love the product, rye too... Direct from farm, organic, cheaper or no more expensive then others above...
Thanks!
I'll give the CO OP/healthfood store a try, I'd like to think the berries will be cheaper than flour. What does the minnesota grown wheat site charge for shipping? didn't see any info there. isn't the largest if it fits it ships box like 20 bucks?
I usually order 50 pounds, she can get close to 20 pounds in a box. so while shipping adds to cost, it still is cheaper going that round than say $2.00 a pound at whole foods, and its organic, high protein and supports a local economy - and the rye is awesome too. Give her a call...
