Now that is one heck of a fine sandwich and I love a fine sandwich more than most. I'd add some mustard and put a pickle and some pickled peppers on the side just to keep it kosher :-) That's some nice bread too.
Man, I'm hungry for some reason!
Hi Dabrowman,
This Tartine French Country Bread recipe makes a great sandwich. Sizzling pastrami in a skillet in a little oil always helps with extra flavor, too.
Thanks for always commenting and checking out our food!!!

Wow, I am taken right back to my days as clown on the Good Ship Lollipop (yes, really) on the riverboats in Pittsburgh. We'd get cleaned up at the end of the day and head, whenever possible, for the Strip District and sandwiches at Primanti's: cheese steaks, slaw, and fries on fat slabs of gorgeous Italian bread - from Mancini's? Memory slightly hazy when viewed through rose-colored gustatory delights. Here in the wilds of VA's DC suburbs, it's nearly impossible to find such glories. I feel a re-creation coming on...thank you for that quick trip down memory lane. My stomach thanks you as well!
i am so glad you enjoy and appreciate this sandwich!! you are fortunate to have experienced such a life! we love food and this is FOOD!!! thank you so much for checking it out!
