Makes 16 doughnuts

5 1/2  cups all-purpose flour

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/4 cup brown sugar

2 1/2 teaspoons yeast

1 teaspoon salt

1 1/4 cups milk or water (you can use powdered milk)

1/4 cup butter

2 eggs

*vegetable oil

*(powdered sugar,powdered sugar glaze,chocolate glaze,granulated sugar)


1)place all ingredients in the bowl of mixer ,beat 10 minutes to make a soft dough.


2)cover,let rise in warm place until doubled in size ,about 1 hour.

3)roll dough on lightly floured surface or divide dough in to 16 parts.


4)Shape the doughnut , punch your thumb through the center of each roll and then rotate the dough, working it so that the doughnut is as even in width as possible. cover and let it doubled in size about 1 hour


5)deep fry at 375F for a minute per side .drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.



6)roll doughnuts in powdered sugar,granulated sugar or drizzle with powdered sugar glaze,chocolate glaze


 *for powdered sugar glaze:

combine 1 cup powdered sugar +1 tablespoon milk stir until smooth

*for chocolate glaze

combine 1 cup powdered sugar +1 tablespoon milk+1 tablespoon cocoa powder  stir until smooth
