bannetons for sale cheap
Didn't I read here some where recently that there were bannetons for sale for about $6 each,,,, or was I dreaming..... help some one... thanks,,,,, qahtan

A short distance down this page (second post) there is a post by "mrfrost" that may be what you're looking for. I tried to post the link here (Lucky Clover Trading) but for some reason it gets rejected by the spam filter. How "mrfrost" got it to work when it doesn't work for me is a mystery.

This link does seem to set off alarms when I try to paste it, but I was able to click on it myself no problem. And lo and behold, there were 6 dollar coiled proofing baskets for sale. I cannot speak to quality, shipping costs or legitimacy, but they are most certainly priced at 6 dollars.

the banneton's they sell are excellent quality. I personally have 10 each of the three they offer and have had no problems with them. Also, I teach the bread baking course at the Univ of Tenn Culinary Institute and ordered the same baskets for use in our class.
When you get on the sight just type in the word "rattan" in the search box and will pop up to the correct page. Scroll down to the third and fourth row of pictures and there they are! the sight is lucky clover trading. Add the www and com, the spam filter is kicking it back when written as an url.
The catch is that there is a $50 minimum on orders. Anyone in Illinois feel free to reply and maybe we can order together.

Chicago's a big city! I'm outside of Chicago to the South in New Lenox. We could be very far apart for trying to order together.
