Where can I find a sourdough baguette recipe?
I have been making sourdough sandwich bread but I would like to give baguette a try. I prefer whole wheat but if no whole wheat I would try just wheat flour baguette. I already have a whole wheat sponge going and I would like to make the baguette for dinner. Could someone tell me where to find such a recipe? Thanks a million.
You will find many, many entries.
For the most "classic" baguettes made with sourdough, look for proth5's formula.

I have already started making a loaf of bread, my own creation, a couple of hours ago. But I definitely will bookmark proth5's formula and use it in the future. Thanks again!
i would have to reccommend anis bouabsa baguettes you can find the recipe on this site. i am baguette obsessed at the moment. as a matter of fact i have some baking in the oven right now. almost done. my best effort yet. this time i tried pain ordinaire recipe from village baker. it makes two baguettes and a boule. it was a little easier to work with as it is less hydrated but a good place to start i guess. i have to say though even if you don't perfect the look of anis's baguettes first try the taste is incredible.
let me know if you need any recipes.
Thanks roll! I would love to have a few more recipes to choose from.
I ended up making something like a Ciabatta for dinner. I folded shredded low fat cheddar cheese in the dough and sprinkled some on top of the loaf because my husband and my son love cheese. It turned out pretty good, depsite a lack of experience and recipes.
