Need help with photo....
I can't figure out how to put a photo(s) of my bread in this forum. I use an Apple computer, if this makes any difference......where's the download photos feature? Any help will be appreciated. Thank you

Open up your picture in Preview. Under "Tools" select "Adjust Size", mouse down on the "Fit Into" button, and select "800 x 600" or smaller. Save the picture to your desktop--I save as a .jpg type.
Using the icon to the left of the "html" button and mouse over to the colored button to the right of the "Image URL" slot:
Choose "Upload", select the file, and, once selected, click on "Send to Editor".
The picture should now appear in your "Comment".

I apologize......but how does one get this "insert/edit image" poster to come up? What is the "html" button, and icon? My photos are already on my desktop. I've never had to deal with these issues to send or download a photo before. Maybe my computer is too old.....it's Mac OS X 10.3.9.
Usually there is a "download file" button, and I go to desktop and mouse on the photos I need. Any insight will be helpful. Thank you....I have some nice photos of bread and sourdough pancakes.
When you go to the "Comment" field, you see "B", "I", "U" ... and all the way to the right "HTML". The icon you are looking for is just to the left of the "HTML" icon. Once you click that button (it kind of looks like a tree), you will see the "insert/edit image" box pop up. Once that box pops up, hit the red and blue icon all the way to the right of the "Image URL" line. That will allow you to upload your photo. If you need more help, ask me again. --Pamela
The insert/edit image dialog comes up when you hit the tree button.
I just love it when women offer technical support!!! --Pamela
Okay....I see the problem....this tool bar is not existing above this
"Comment: *" box. Is there someway to have this tool bar just appear? On this page is.

....and no tool bar with the big B I U above the comment box.
...and I love it also when women offer technical support.....thanks so far....I think it would be easy if I had the tool bar....the explanations have been clear...but I've never seen this tool bar with the "tree" icon. bummer....
When you hit reply to a message, you see a comment box. The toolbar is underneath the comment box. --Pamela
thank you for being helpful, but there is no tool bar anywhere on this page..:(
Probably my computer or something....Everyone's help has been fairly clear and helpful, but I'm afraid without this toolbar, there will be no photos. Another mention....if I were to start a new thread, there would be no one to reply to for the toolbar to show up. Anyway, thanks.
Do you see the words "rich text editor" beneath the comment box? Click it and the toolbar should appear.
It should be there by default, but perhaps it got disabled for you...
Yes, I click on "rich text editor", but to no avail. I think this tool bar has been disabled for me. Yesterday, I made some sourdough pancakes.....ha! I ate twelve of them. I also took a photo of the sourdough pancakes, but they look just like regular pancakes....only there are layers of flavor in that sourdough and milk batter......I'll be having sourdough pizza for late breakfast, early lunch today.....I'll take a photo just in case this tool bar becomes not "disabled". Thank you, and everyone who has been forthcoming.

I don't know what browser you are using on your Mac, Rainwater, but check to see that javascript is enabled. If it IS enabled, then it's probably not a bad idea to post about your problem again in New Server Issues: REPORT HERE. Make sure you say that what OS and browser you are using.

I just spent some time talking to my internet provider....everything is okay with that connection. Then it was suggested my Safari is outdated......and it is. To download the latest version of Safari, I have to order software to update my system to accept the Safari download. Old computer, old search engine.......planned obselescence. It will cost me about $140.00 U.S. bummer. Not to worry.....I will save all my bread photos on my desktop until I can afford the new software.....once again, I thank everyone.
I'm pretty sure I have Java Script enabled, but how would I check for this?
I just googled and found the following on Mr. Ed's Computer Help Forum
If it turns out that you do have javascript enabled on Safari, I wonder if downloading Firefox might be a possibility. I am pretty sure that Firefox is compatible with Mac and the toolbar is definitely visible in Firefox. And Firefox is free.
Hope that helps!

Thank you Elizabeth....I have Javascript enabled, which I was pretty sure I did. Firefox is compatible, but my operating system is OS X 10.3.9, and Firefox download is for OS X 10.4 and above....bummer.....I have to order this software update to upgrade my computer..it's about $140.00 U.S. I think it's Leopard. Thanks again.
What a drag!! I love that so many of us have computers but I loathe the planned obsolescence!
A way that you might get around this is to open a flickr account (free) , upload your photos to flickr, then use the following coding to display a photo:

Hope that made sense

You absolutle can use Flickr or Photobucket most other photo hosting services to do this, it is just TinyMCE, the WYSIWYG editor I use here that doesn't play nice with older versions of Safari.
Consider downloading Camino, which is an OS X optimized version of Firefox. I do most of my browsing in and and think it is great.
