Anyone have any good bread recipes that uses pumpkin in them?

I received a pumpkin from a friend and I have no idea what to do with it. I'm not a huge fan of making pies, so I probably won't make a pie out of it.

I'm wondering if anyone here has a recipe for any breads that utilize pumpkin.

Thanks :)

Thank you for the warm welcome. I’ll check out some of the recipes on here and allrecipes. Still getting used to the wealth of knowledge on this forum.

All about the same just slightly different amounts of texture, moisture, natural sugars and taste. All require some cooking or roasting before using.  I just baked a Hokkaido squash. Cut it thru the middle and took out the seeds, then cut into wedges and baked in the oven.  We ate some of it with butter and salt and the rest was peeled and tucked away in the fridge for later uses.  Cooked also freezes well.

that uses 100g grated raw squash. Uses bubbly mineral water and 100g pumpkin seeds (no shells.) Contains both baking powder and yeast and lemon zest.  No spices. What kind of pumpkin 🎃 is it?

Today I toasted bread cubes in butter while turning the squash from yesterday into a creme soup.  The brickeln or bread cubes get tossed on top of the soup along with a decorative trail of green pumpkin oil from Styria.

Sounds delicious...

And I'm pretty sure it's just a regular pie pumpkin. I had to translate the recipe but I think I will give it a go!

Also from a professional chef. You can change the filling according to your liking. I'd probably change it to red bean paste cos I 💕 sweets.

That's what I'm playing with.  ...and how about an edible jack-o-lantern?

Strings...Coils...Baking bags...baking over bowls...bread bowl recipes...can one boil a water ballon?  Can one heat up a stainless sphere and bury it in dough?  Wish I had the toys. Don't forget the baking parchment.

Raw grated shredded as salad, or with cabbage, large radish and carrots with or without as in cole slaw.  Mix with a little fresh shredded red cabbage and or cress or sprouts. Support sushi and sashimi.

Even a sourdough bread roll with scissors-snipped scoring could probably make something interesting. You could make eyes, nose, jagged mouth with snips.

The dough is beautiful so I'm hoping I get a good result when it goes in the oven - fingers crossed!
