HL6 or KA 7 Qt Attachement Question

I am looking to see if someone has a Hobart HL6 mixer and can measure the spiral dough hook for me.  Same for the Kitchen Aid 7 Quart model.

I am trying to see if it will fit a N50.   I tried other KA hooks and it is not long enough to knead 1 cup batches.

Hi there ... Amy from "Amy Learns to Cook" (Youtube) has a Hobart HL6 mixer.  I'm including a link to her video about this. You could post a comment there, or, if you check her main channel page, there is a link to her email address if you want to write to her directly.

Just so you know, the dimensions of the dough hook will be different from KitchenAid's offerings.  The HL6's hook is about an inch longer than that for a KitchenAid Pro-Line 7, but will still have the same width..  The HL6 hook will be too long and too wide to fit a Hobart N50.  You will need a Hobart OEM dough hook for your N50 in order for it to work properly.  And by the way,  Miller Precision still has a good number of HL6 mixers available.  And you can look them up on EBay.  They sell for $550.00 each.

Can you measure your spiral agitator or dough hook for me?   KA ar just a bit under 7 inches overall.

I will email her as well.

Thanks

My spiral agitator and dough hook both measure around 8".  Sorry, but this stupid CAPTCHA prevents me from typing much else.

I tested the HL6 attachment on a KitchenAid Commercial 8. Plain and simple, it won't fit.  If you want the HL6 attachments, I'm afraid you'll have to buy an HL6 mixer.  Sorry.
