Does any one have any experience with the JP10 Spiral Doughhook for the Hobart N50?

I bought an N50 a few months back for a really great price, the only down side was that it didn't come with a dough hook. I thought it would be easy enough to find one but I was wrong - and no the KA dough hooks do not work. In Canada at least the only source I have is for a new one directly from Hobart, which after taxes and shipping would end up costing $165... Awfully close to what I paid for the mixer.

A slightly cheaper option seems to be this after market dough hook from the Netherlands - the JP10. They're available thru their site or on eBay.

With shipping and currency conversion this would end up costing $90.

I wondered if any one on here had any experience with these dough hooks on the N50 - or had heard anything good or bad about them.

Thanks in advance!

Call them.  They've always been helpful to me.

I bought the stainless steel JP10A. It's a lovely, well engineered piece of kit. The SS version is a lot heavier than the aluminium version. I expect it to not break, unlike the aluminium cast version you can buy on ebay:

Works great in my N50.
