Hi, new to this forum and to San Miguel (SMA). Becoming really frustrated with trying to bake/cook at 6000+feet and without the product to do so. Importing flour is not an option--way to expensive. Any suggestions on where to get decent flours and sugars? I ended up at this forum because I was trying to find an in-country online purchasing option. I am excited to be with you and look forward to all your help as I navigate new waters.
Take a look at this article.

A few ideas for you. Inquire at one of the local restaurants or bakeries if you can buy flour from them. There appears to be many thriving bakery businesses and restaurants in San Miguel.
Also, on the very bottom of the article they also list a few grocers.
Good luck!
Hi JudyM! I don't have any advice for you, but will be curious to see how your bread baking journey goes, as we are also at a high elevation, around 5300ft in Colorado US. Also I love Mexico and can't wait to see what you're baking!
Cheers from Fort Collins, CO
