I've only made buns one time, and while they tasted really good and were perfect in the flavor and texture area, they were quite pale on the bottom. Yours look like how I wished mine did. What type of enrichments did you use? Butter, eggs, or milk. Anything like that?
They seem really soft! I bet they are delicious!
Definitely softer and not as dry as previous attempts. Surprised myself. LOL
1 1/4 cups hot tap water
1 egg (beaten)
1/3 cup softened unsalted butter
2Tbsp Vegetable Oil
4 cups Bread flour
1 Tbsp Vital Wheat Gluten
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp yeast
I did substitute 1/2 cup Milk for 1/2 cup of the water this time. Complete instructions in the link on Original post.
