The weight of one gallon of grain depends on the type of grain and the moisture content. Typically wheat at 13.5% moisture weighs 60 lbs./bushel which converts to 6.44 lbs./gallon.

Looks like a 5 gallon bucket will be ample to store my 25 lb sack of wheat.
