I am wondering if any of you bakers out in the interwebs have a reliable recipe for a british cookie called a flapjack.
Grew up with flapjacks in England - the grandchildren love them too here in Canada.
4oz butter or margarine
2 tablespoons Lyles golden syrup
6oz rolled oats
1/4 teaspoon salt
Beat butter and sugar . Stir in warmed syrup. Work in oats and salt. Gently press into shallow pan. ( 8"square or round ) Bake at 375F for 25 - 30 minutes. Cut and leave to cool.
