Re-milled semolina

I'm excited - I just re-milled some durum semolina in my Wondermill Jr. (with the stones) to make durum flour, and it worked a treat! I haven't been able to find durum flour anywhere for making Altamura bread, but semolina I can get at Bulk Barn. Nice to know I can make my own fairly quickly and easily. :)

and the result is simply great.

Happy baking Lazy Loafer!

Wish I had a mill, I just bought a 50 pound bag of extra fancy durum at a restaurant supply for roughly the same price 3 lbs would've cost me with delivery. You in the states by chance LL?

Haha, thanks but on Amazon.ca it's $83 and change! I'm on Canada's West Coast, on Vancouver Island, so availability of some things is limited.

is way cheaper than buying it too!  Just as good too from my experiences.  Still not one of my favorote grains but you need it to get to an 11 grain mix :-)
